miigwetch for making Odawa’s
50th Anniversary powwow such an incredible successs

This year’s powwow marks a special milestone—50 years of the Odawa Native Friendship Centre supporting and uplifting the Indigenous community in Ottawa. From its humble beginnings to the vibrant, multifaceted organization it is today, Odawa has played a vital role in providing cultural, social, and community-based programs for generations. This powwow is not only a celebration of Indigenous traditions, but also a tribute to the Centre’s rich history, its growth, and the enduring strength of the community it serves.

Miigwetch and thank everyone who attended Odawa’s 50th Anniversary Powwow.

It was a wonderful weekend with so much colour and beautiful moments. So much so we want to create a commenorative photo book of the event.

We already have some amazing photographs from our incredibly talented photographer Tracey (@traceylynnephotography), but if you have any photos that you would like to be considered for the book, please email your ‘High Resolution’ shots to reception@odawa.on.ca.

Even if you don’t have any photos to share but are interested in the book, please email us and we’ll let you know when the book is ready.

What a wonderful reminder of an amazing time and an amazing community.

Thank you again — and Miigwetch for making this celebration one to remember.
